400 teachers, among them 63 doctors of sciences, 273 candidates of sciences, including five Honored Science and Technique Workers of Ukraine, one Honored Worker of public education of Ukraine, two Honored doctors of Ukraine, two Laureates of State prize of Ukraine carry out pedagogical, scientific, medical and educational work at 48 departments.

Lugansk medical University has very good facilities. There are five building for theoretical classes and a wide net of clinical bases of medical institutions of Lugansk, which are equipped at the level corresponding to world standards. Today Lugansk State Medical University is a complex of buildings designed for practical classes, lectures, laboratory studies, library, research work and auxiliary services, covering. The total area owned by the Lugansk state medical University is 70466 sq.m: within it the area of study and laboratory premises is 33598 sq. mts. The teaching area per one student is 15 sq.m. Other clinical bases used by the Lugansk state medical University are administered by the Government healthcare department.

Organization of the medical process and methods of teaching at Lugansk Medical University are built according to modern demands and world experience. MEDICINE: The Lugansk State Medical University offers medical course in English and Ukrainian language. The duration of the medical course is 6 years. The degree awarded is Doctor of Medicine (MD or MBBS).

DENTAL: The Lugansk State Medical University offers dental course in English and Ukrainian language. The duration of the dental course is 5 years. The degree awarded is Bachelor of dentistry (BDS).

POST GRADUATE STUDIES: The Lugansk State Medical University offers post graduate studies in all medical fields. The duration of the study is 2-3 years.

Tuition fees varies for each courses in Lugansk State Medical University. It is the responsibility of the student to be familiar with the University regulations and financial matters. Lugansk State Medical University cannot make adjustments to any fees without the permission of the administration.

The tuition fees for the English medium Medical course is USD 3500$.

The tuition fees for the Russian medium Medical course is USD 2800$.

The tuition fees for the English medium Dental course is USD 4100$

Foreign students who are entering the first course have to pay their full fees for the whole academic year. From the following academic years student can pay their tuition fees for each semester.

Apart from this payments student have to pay for hostel, admission letter, invitation letter, visa confirmation, medical insurance, Registration fee, contractor fees and airport clearance.

Ibn Sina Medical College is named by Ibn Sina, the great Philosopher, Physician & Medical Scientist. This is a non- profitable institution of Ibn Sina Trust established in the year 1995 and approved by the Govt. of the peoples’ republic of Bangladesh in the year 2005.

To maintain the reputation of Ibn Sina Trust in the field of higher education and to remain in the forefront of health care services the Trustee Board established Ibn Sina Medical College with a vision to develop it as a model Institute, so as to demonstrate a high standard of under graduate education in Medicine to fulfill the needs of the country.

The campus of the college is located at 1/1-B, Kallyanpur, Mirpur, Dhaka in the heart of Dhaka city in a quiet & serene environment. It has an excellent communication links with all Parts of Dhaka city & from outside Dhaka.
The campus at Kallyanpur houses the Administrative block & adequately equipped basic science departments namely the departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine and the departments are all well equipped & furnished, to accommodate Class rooms. Dissection hall, Laboratories and Museum. Lecture Galleries are equipped with audio-visual equipments including multimedia set up. Galleries, Library and Dissection rooms are fully air-conditioned to create an environment conducive to health. Para Clinical, Clinical Classes are being held at Ibn Sina Hospital Campus in Dhanmondi. 3rd year, students are regularly attending Ward duties. Departmental Professors, Registrars are engaged in bed side teaching in Ibn Sina Hospital. It has a rich library and contains necessary latest edition of books & journals.

Result of 1st Batch students of ISMC who appeared in 1st Prof. M.B.B.S examination in January ’07 under the University of Dhaka at Ibn Sina Medical College Centre is highly satisfactory & 2 students obtained honours in Anatomy & Biochemistry.

The college, is affiliated with the University of Dhaka and offers 5 years MBBS Course as approved by BM&DC leading to MBBS degree of the University of Dhaka. The college has been approved and accorded permission by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of the people’s Republic of Bangladesh.


Admission shall be on merit and shall follow the same criteria as prescribed by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council.

a) The applicant shall be a Bangladeshi Citizen
b) Passed SSC or equivalent examination  and HSC or equivalent with physics, Chemistry and Biology.
c) Must have a minimum combined GPA of 8.0, an individual minimum GPA of 3.5 and minimum GPA of 3.0 in Biology at HSC.
d) O and A level examination candidates should submit equivalence certificate from Directorate General of Health Services, Govt. of Bangladesh along with the application.

o Certificate of character from a Class I Gazetted Officer.
o Certificate regarding financial solvency of Parents/Guardian.

(SSC GPA × 8) + (HSC GPA × 12) = 100
Admission Test = 100

Written Admission Test will be of one hour’s duration with MCQs on Biology (30%), Chemistry (25%), Physics (20%), English (15%) and General Knowledge (10%). Result of written examination will be published on merit basis with a waiting list followed by:

Medical Test: Candidates qualified in the Written test will be examined by a board of medical specialists of the Ibn Sina Medical College Hospital. Candidates found unfit will be debarred from admission.

Ibn Sina Medical College offers 5 years MBBS course approved by the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council, leading to MBBS degree of the University of Dhaka, and one year internship at Ibn Sina Medical College Hospital. The academic session shall be from July to June each year.

The College and Hospital is situated in Agrabad in the heart of the picturesque city  of Chittagong overlooking the Bay of Bengal.

The present hospital building is standing at the centre of the 4.2637 acre land allocated for this Institute by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

A Master Plan has been formulated to accommodate separate buildings for Medical College, 500 bedded General Hospital, Nurses institute and College, Nurses and Lady Student’s Hostel, Boy’s Hostel, Medical Technology Institute, Professors residency and mosque.

Year of Establishment:

The college established in May’2006 with 50 students. 2nd batch of 50 students admitted in January’2007 and 3rd batch of 60 students admitted in January’2008. Now preparing to admit 75 students in the 4th batch.
